The Ties that Bind
Memories have a funny way of cropping up. While watching the news this week, I saw that an iconic man from my past died. Dr. James “Red” Duke passed away this week. I have many memories of watching him on KTRK, Channel 13 news. His red hair, his bushy mustache and his Texas drawl are burned into my memory banks. He always had an important lesson for regular people to learn about health care that he presented in common language because he truly wanted his message to help
those who heard it.
