Hugo Matthijetz Celebrates 100th Birthday in Winchester

On Saturday, July 16, Hugo Matthijetz celebrated his 100th birthday with a party at the home of his son, Raymond and his wife, Sandra in Winchester. He enjoyed the day visiting with his grandchildren and a lunch of his favorite foods including some delicious fried shrimp and chicken wings prepared by his grandsons. After lunch, everyone gathered around the TV to watch robotics finals as Brandon’s team won the Indiana First Robotics Competition. Then a delicious birthday cake, baked by Diane, was served topped with ice cream. Also attending the party were Mike and Debbie Schkade of Friendswood.
