VFW Post 5254 Receives National Recognition

At recent meetings of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 5254 and its Auxiliary, reports were brought from a recent District 28 meeting held in Elgin. Officers who attended the meeting were VFW Commander Merle Henson, VFW Quartermaster Joe Kuppa, Auxiliary President Beverly Gray, Auxiliary Treasurer Anna Boyd and Jr. Vice-President Barbara Brauner.

 

During the District meeting, Commander Merle Henson was awarded a plaque for VFW Post No. 5254 for National recognition for their Community Activities for the 2015-2016 year for which Henson served as Community Activity Chair for the local VFW.
