Gloria Dolores Mercado Malone came into this world on Sept. 6, 1924, through the love of her parents Patricia and John J. Mercado, Jr. Gloria peacefully left this earth, in her sleep, on May 30, 2017, and will rest next to her beloved husband, Dempsey, Sr., in the Eutaw Cemetery in Kosse, Texas Gloria is survived by her children, Pat and Dempsey Malone; her brother, Robert Mercado and wife Carmen; grandchildren, Elizabeth Malone and Katherine Malone and husband Mike; and leaves numerous dearly beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be on June 10, 2017, 10 a.m., at the Eutaw Cemetery, Moss Springs Road, in Kosse, Texas. After services, Gloria’s family and friends are invited to join in table fellowship at Kosse’s First Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, on the corner of Myrtle and Hwy. 7, one block east of the four-way stop at Hwy. 7 and 14. Memorials may be sent to the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 400 E. Sayles, Brenham, Texas 77833. Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home in Hearne was in charge of arrangements.
