Turtle Wing Hosts Running Camp

A critical element of the Community Education and Advocacy programming for Turtle Wing Foundation is the Parent Support Network. Healthy, connected families – no matter what challenges they are facing in daily life – will be happier and more successful. The mission of Turtle Wing Foundation is “helping children with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential.” The Running Rx camp is being held to help encourage children and their parents to get moving and to have fun running faster and pain free! All ages and abilities welcome. The RunRx Camp will be held at the Schulenburg ISD New Gym on Monday, July 31 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Features of the workshop are: video analysis to ‘see’ your run; skill drills and games to improve running, core and full body strength to stay strong and injury free, warm-up and cool down tricks for injury prevention, breathing tips to run any speed or distance, balance practice and more. This workshop is free to all families within the Turtle Wing Parent Support Network (PSN). For those not in the PSN there will be a $25 for Adults and $10 for Ages 12 and under.
