Jeremy David Cornwell

Jeremy David Cornwell, 43, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017. Jeremy was born in Alma, Michigan on January 2, 1974, the son of Roland and Karen (Zimmerman) Cornwell. He worked as a plumber for over 15 years at Daniel Cernoch Plumbing in La Grange. Jeremy was a member of the First Baptist Church in La Grange. He enjoyed a simple life, loved living in the country, helping others, and using new games and technologies. A man of few hobbies and words, his positive, friendly demeanor left his community feeling the loss of a truly good and respected person. He had a strong love of family, and will be missed by all. He is survived by his parents; son, Joshua Taylor Thomas of La Grange; grandfather, Jack Cornwell of Michigan; two sisters: Terri Cornwell and husband, George McKinstry, of Lansing, Michigan; and Shelly Ketcheson and husband, Scott, of Wyoming and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 121 S. College St., La Grange, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 97, La Grange, TX 78945.
