Cordes

Michael Henry Cordes, 64, of Round Top, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020.

Michael was born in La Grange on Oct. 12, 1955 the son of Chester and Nettie (Polukovich) Cordes.

Michael graduated from Texas A&M University and later from the University of Houston majoring in accounting.

After graduating, Michael became an auditor. He later worked as an auditor for IRS for fourteen years.

He is survived by two sisters: Christine Cordes of Oldenburg; Rosemary Bonner of Brunswick, Ga.; niece, Candice Goodwin; nephew, Aaron Goodwin, and great-niece, Olivia Goodwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Barbara Cordes.

Graveside Services will be held at the Fayetteville City Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, TX 78945.
