10 Person Limit on Gatherings? Answer Seems to Be Yes and No

People in Fayette County still can’t gather in groups of more than 10 people. Or they can. It all depends on which set of emergency orders citizens attempt to follow.

On Thursday, April 30, the Fayette County Commissioners Court extended the local disaster declaration for COVID-19 until May 22. The latest County extension keeps in place the ban on gatherings of more than 10 people in Fayette County. However, Governor Greg Abbott announced last Monday that restaurants and certain other establishments statewide could offer inside services at 25 percent capacity beginning on Friday, May 1.
