Nobody knows when or even if high school sports are going to resume, but La Grange boys and girls athletic directors Matt Kates and Leslie Coltrain have been working to stay in touch with athletes to keep they healthy physically, mentally and emotionally.
Update 8:45 p.m.: Fayette County Judge Joe Weber reported Thursday evening that the county now has 10 confirmed cases of coronavirus. The fifth confirmed positive test came from the La Grange McDonald's employee reported earlier today, April 2.

Thursday and Friday pro and college sports across the nation had already cancelled and/or postponed their seasons out of precaution about the coronavirus.

Last week most events in Fayette County were still going on as planned, and that included the Best Little Cowboy Gathering in Texas at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange.

The Schulenburg girls basketball players ran through a wide range of emotions in a few minutes Thursday in the Alamodome as they were presented their state bronze medals after falling in the 3A state semifinals to Shallowater. Lots more on the game in Section B today.
