LG Reading Volunteers Celebrate Program’s 20th Anniversary

On Tuesday, April 26, La Grange ISD hosted a banquet to honor all their volunteers, but there was a special emphasis on the One-to-One reading program which was celebrating the 20th anniversary of its beginning at the school. Volunteers come to the elementary campus once a week to read with students for 30 minutes to try to not only improve the student’s reading skills but to also hopefully spark a love of reading in the child.
