Beta Theta Donates to Arts for Rural Texas

Members of the Beta Theta chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, a group of key women educators dedicated to promoting excellence and recognizing achievement in the field of education, met on Saturday, Sept. 10 in La Grange. Jeanne Schilling, Executive Director of Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS), spoke about the history of the organization and its goal to “augment public and private schools’ educational process by bringing art and music into it”. ARTS provides after school art classes free of charge for students in grades 1-12 in 6 different school districts in Fayette County.
