Remember When?
Nov. 18-22, 1966 Sheriff’s officers were dispatched to Carmine to check on the disappearance of a V8 motor from a 1958 Chevrolet parked in the wrecking yard at A.H. Ullrich Chevrolet Co. The motor had been lifted out with the firm’s wrecker. Officers found no tangible clues at the scene.
The La Grange Leopards ended the 1966 grid season in a blaze of glory by soundly trouncing the Channelview Brahmas, 42-0. Twelve LGHS seniors played their last game for their alma mater: Gene Citzler, William Turner, Ricky Boehm, Chestine Moore, Donald Moerbe, Donald Tietjen, James Tietjen, Martin Koopmann, Larry Vasek, Roger Roitsch, Bubba Smith and Jimmy Sladek.
