Jonathan Wade Read

Jonathan Wade Read, 26, of La Grange, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018. Jonathan was born in La Grange on Nov. 11, 1991, the son of Stephen Wade and Pamela “Pam” (Brugger) Read. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed camping, floating on the river and participating in all outdoor activities. He is survived by his parents: Wade and Pam Read; brother, Chris Read; sister, Libby Read; grandmothers: Joyce Read and Loretta Brugger, all of La Grange; aunts and uncles: Sherry Kistler; Brenda and Joe Taylor; Susan and Jeff Hardin; Gary Read; Teresa and Joey Blaschke and Lisa and Wayne Brugger; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy Brugger and Roger Read. Visitation was held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in La Grange. Funeral services followed beginning at 4 p.m. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AMEN, Second Chance or Gardenia E.
