Lady Horns Edge Boling 4-3 to Win Regional Quarterfinal Softball Game

The Schulenburg softball team advanced to the 3A regional semifinals with a 4-3 victory over Boling Friday in Katy.

Jordan Salem drove in two runs for the Lady Horns. Alyssa Otto pitched the first six innings of the game before Macey Thompson threw a scoreless seventh to save the victory.

The Lady Horns improved their record to 24-5 with the victory and they now advance to the regional semifinals where they will face San Diego in a best-of-three series.

All games will be at the Victoria Sports Complex. Game 1 is Thursday at 7 p.m. Game 2 is Saturday at 3 p.m. with a potential Game 3 to follow Game 2 if necessary.

The winner of this Schulenburg/San Diego series advances to face the Hallettsville/Santa Gertrudis winner in the regional finals.
