Blanco Too Much for Shorthorns

The Schulenburg football team saw its season come to an end Thursday with a 28-0 loss to Blanco in the first round of the 3A playoffs in Karnes City.

Blanco’s defense limited Schulenburg to just 126 total yards of offense. Blanco also forced four turnovers, including three interceptions.

Hunter Schulz ran for 47 yards for the Shorthorns and Brett Janacek ran for 46.

Blanco improves its record to 9-2 and advances to play Corpus Christi London Friday at 5 p.m. in Floresville.
