As each member of the La Grange volleyball team walked out of the locker room Tuesday they got a round of applause from the Lady Leps fans who had stayed late into the night to watch them earn a share of the District 20-4A title.

East Bernard Too Much for Schulenburg

The Schulenburg football team has been on both sides of blowouts the last two weeks.

One week after beating Bloomington 54-6, the Shorthorns lost to East Bernard 62-0 Friday.

The loss drops Schulenburg to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in district. The Shorthorns play at Danbury this week.

The first place Lady Leps continued to steam-roll through district play with a sweep at Smithville Tuesday. The Lady Leps host Navasota Friday. Schulenburg, Fayetteville and Round Top-Carmine were also winners in district play Tuesday. Here’s the stats:

With a 19-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-17 victory on the road over Giddings Friday the La Grange volleyball team moved into sole possession of first place in the 20-4A volleyball race.

The Lady Leps are now 15- 13 overall and 4-0 in district.

 

Shorthorns Roll Past Bloomington 54-6

The Schulenburg Shorthorns got district played started in about the most impressive way possible, pummeling Bloomington 54-6 in Port Lavaca Friday.

The Shorthorns amassed 492 yards of total offense while limiting the winless Bobcats to just 157 total yards.
