It’s a Matter of Trust

When I was growing up, I  remember my dad saying “The voters in west Texas were so enamored with Lyndon Johnson that they kept on voting for him years after they died.” I wasn’t sure what it meant at the time, but I came to find out that  yndon Johnson got into office here in Texas and later in Washington using votes from people who had passed away but  ere never removed from the voter registration rolls. In fact the presidential election of 1960, when Johnson was a vice  residential candidate with John Kennedy, was probably decided by those very same “dead” voters in west Texas.
