Leni Ann (Petschik) Simmons

Leni Ann (Petschik) Simmons, 66, of La Grange, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at her home in La Grange. Leni was born in La Grange on Feb. 24, 1947 the daughter of William “Bill” and Frieda (Cuzick) Petschik. One of Leni’s most precious assets were her grandchildren and she dearly loved spending time with them. She is survived by her husband, Gerrit “Curtis” Simmons of La Grange; three daughters, Anissa Menefee and husband, Michael, of La Grange, Sheri Nolen and husband, Marvin, of Giddings, Myra Simmons and special friend, Herron Baggett of Austin; two grandchildren, Connor Menefee and Cara Homer; two step-grandchildren, Chris Menefee and Cristina Jo Nolen, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Frieda (Cuzick) Petschik, and numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Services were held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery.
