Albert E. “Bill” Hassell

Albert E. “Bill” Hassell, 88, of Flatonia died Nov. 11, 2013. He was born in Houston Jan. 20, 1925 to Lennes and Errol Hassell. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma Hassell; one son, Albert Hassell Jr.; one sister, and one brother. He is survived by one daughter, Pam Cunningham and husband Robert of Houston; one brother, Glenn  MacConnell of Houston; two granddaughters, Lisa Harris and husband Brian, and Rachel Williams and husband Andy; and two greatgranddaughters, Sophia Williams, and Evelyn Harris. Visitation began at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Flatonia Methodist Church in Flatonia. Entombment followed at the Oak Hill Mausoleum.
