Helicopters: An Aviation Marvel

The cat ran to hide, the dog’s ears perked up, the windows rattled and the walls vibrated. The sound was loud, disturbing and a little scary too. The four helicopters that flew over our house definitely interrupted our quiet morning. I can’t imagine living with that sound day after day but the people during the Vietnam War did. In the television news reports of the war, helicopters became the symbol of US combat forces in Vietnam.
