The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association met Nov. 11 at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in La  Grange. Harold Streicher, Fayette County Assistant D.A. was the  featured speaker. Streicher spoke on “A Patriotic Message.” He said, “It is important that we all become stewards of our God-given freedoms, that we are the  beneficiaries of so many wonderful liberties. Upon this Veterans Day, we should remember all servants in the
Armed Forces, past and present, who are noble servants of one’s precious liberties. Such sacrifice shows a devotion, and tireless efforts to instill a love for the United States of America. Such liberties were always at the forefront by our Founding Fathers, as demonstrated by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.”
