Local Couple Dies in Austin Auto Accident
La Grange residents are mourning this week after a local couple died Monday about 10 p.m. in a fiery accident in Austin.
Bobbie Jean Roberts, 79, a retired La Grange elementary school teacher, was driving her husband, Billy Mike Roberts, in their 2003 Pontiac Van east on Highway 71 near the Highway 130 tollway when their vehicle was rear-ended by a
2004 F-150 pick-up driven by William Lawrence, 23, of Austin, who was also going east on 71.
