Emilie Mae Ritter, 92, of La Grange died Nov. 23, 2013. Emilie Mae Schubert Ritter was born on Dec. 10, 1920 in La 
Grange, the daughter of the late Gustav and Mary Schubert. On March 6, 1945 she was united in marriage with Willie Otto Ritter. They were married almost 57 years. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, sewing and cooking for her family. She and her husband loved to polka dance and were members of Polka Of A. She was a member of the Mt.  Calvary Lutheran Church. She is survived by two daughters and three sons; Johanna Ritter and companion Johnny Parker of Spring, Kathy Kay and companion John Laxson of La Grange, Delwin Ritter and wife Sharon of Spring, Kenny
Ritter and wife Pam of Everson, Wash., and Charles Ritter and wife Laurie of Montgomery. She is also survived by one sister-inlawGladys Barclay of Houston; one special friend Lee Vyvial Jr. of Riverside; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 greatgreat- grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister Edna Ellis. Viewing was held Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 from noon until 8 p.m. with visitation  with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Funeral services will be held Tuesday,  Nov. 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Fayette Memorial  Funeral Home in La Grange. Interment will follow in the Cedar Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Regency Home Health and St. Mark’s Medical Center Foundation. The family would like to express its sincere and heartfelt thanks for all the prayers that have been lifted up on our mother’s behalf. A special thanks to Debra Williams who took such good care of our mother for almost 
3 years. We would also like to thank Regency Home Health for their assistance while mom was at home; Hospice  Brazos Valley for their comfort in the hospital and the St. Marks’s nurses for all the love and care provided during her stay in the hospital. We also want to express to Dr. Thomas Borgstedte our thanks for the compassion and concern shown to our mom. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
