Joe W. Stavinoha

Joe W. Stavinoha, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at his home in Houston. Joe was born on Oct. 9, 1937 in  Ammannsville to Willie and Charlotte Stavinoha. Joe graduated from La Grange High School in 1955 and served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1960. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1996 after 32 years of service. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Loraine Stavinoha and children Mike Stavinoha, Charlotte Cuccia and husband, Joe; grandchildren John and Kaitlyn Stavinoha, Joey, Chase and Peyton Cuccia; great-grandchild Micah Cuccia; sister Grace Greenshield; mother-in-law Mary Vacek; brother-in-laws and sisterin- laws Daniel and Linda Vacek,  and E.J. and Jane Hale, and numerous relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Eva Mae Kallus and Ruth Ann Clifton. The visitation and rosary were held Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main in Tomball. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane in Houston, followed by a rite of committal at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920 in Tomball. Pallbearers were grandsons John Stavinoha, Chase Cuccia and Joey Cuccia, nephews Sean Hale, Dennis Kallus, George Gayton, Gary Greenshield and Terry Clifton.
