County Tries to Snag Some Road Funds

County commissioners took the first step toward establishing one or more “County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zones,” Monday at a meeting called especially for that purpose.The court set a public hearing on the socalled CETRZ project for Dec. 26, an unlikely day right after Christmas, but necessary to meet a Feb. 14 deadline to complete the process

of establishing the entity and applying for funds to improve county roads damaged by oil and gas-related traffic.
