Edna (Knebel) Kruppa

Edna (Knebel) Kruppa, 93, of La Grange, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at Monument Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Edna was born July 4, 1920, the daughter of Emil and Agnes (Janak) Knebel. She married Henry Kruppa Sept. 28, 1943 in Holman. She operated the Kruppa Store for many years. She was a wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. Edna was a sports enthusiast and you could always find her cheering for the Astros, Rockets, Cowboys, and at all of her greatgreat- grandchildren’s games.She is survived by son, David Kruppa (Mary), of Huntsville; son-in-law, Harvey Oeding (Gloria), of La Grange; four grandchildren: Amy House (Bubba); Jason Kruppa  (Carrie); Kevin Oeding (Katherine); and Kelly Oeding (Ryan); seven great-grandchildren; special niece and caregiver, Mary White (John), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry,

of 58 years; daughter, Jo Lynn Oeding; and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5-7 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.  Viewing will continue Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013. Burial will follow at Hostyn Catholic Cemetery.
