George Joseph Kovar

George Joseph Kovar died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. He was born in Ellinger, the son of Joe and Sophie Baca Kovar Feb. 17, 1934. He was a veteran. Survivors include his wife, Opal Lilie Kovar of Sealy; daughters, Sandy Wellbrock (Kenny) of Brenham, Doris Widacki (Steve) of Katy and Louis Roznovsky and friend Geary Maples of Houston; grandchildren; and great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Pete Kovar, Sr. and Edwin Kovar. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frydek. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Knesek Family Funeral Chapel of Sealy was in charge of arrangements.
