Last Day for a Tax Deduction

The Fayette County Appraisal District will be open New Year’s Eve for what sometimes is a last-minute flurry of taxpayers.

Most people put off paying their taxes as long as possible, Chief Appraiser Richard Moring says. And technically, the last moment is Jan. 31 each year. That’s when property taxes are actually due.
