David Winston Richter

David Winston Richter, 60, of La Grange, formerly of Columbus, died Dec. 30, 2013 in Columbus. He was born on Dec. 18, 1953 to Gordon and Hildegard (Severin) Richter in Columbus. David worked as a registered nurse for St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. David is survived by his daughter, Erin Avis and husband Scott of Cypress; son, Brian

Richter of Houston; brother, Gordon Richter Jr. and wife Bernice of Weimar; and granddaughter Hadley Avis. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus. Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home.

The Rev. Dr. Jerry L. Carpenter officiated. Burial took place in the Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus. Pallbearers were Hugo Richter, Wesley Richter, James Little, Clayton Weishuhn, Cullen Weishuhn, and Shannon Okruhlik.
