Dentaphobia and Root Canals

Dentophobia, or fear of the dentist. Do I have it? In a word – yes. My rational mind tells me that there is nothing to fear, but the moment I walk into any dentist office, my irrational mind takes over. My blood pressure rises. My heart starts to race. I can’t stand to have any type of pain in my mouth.
