We (Are) The People

When I was a kid growing up in Austin, I was in the band at school. (I know – big surprise there.) In band, I did all the usual

stuff that band kids did – the auditions (we called it District Band back then), the contests, the football games, and the trips. Lots of great memories were made. Like most kids, I had no idea how all of these activities came to be.
