Adolph J. Kasmiersky

Adolph J. Kasmiersky, 86, of La Grange died Jan. 23, 2014 at St. Mark’s Medical Center. Adolph was born in Fayetteville 
on March 17, 1927, the son of Adolf and Mary (Minarcik) Kasmiersky. He married Loraine Orsak on Nov. 19, 1949 in Houston. He was in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Adolph was a locksmith for 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; two sisters-in-law: Mary Kasmiersky of Fayetteville and Dottie Kasmiersky of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Claudie Kalmus and Evelyn Jurajda; three brothers: Joe Kasmiersky, who died during World War II; and Leonard and Robert Kasmiersky; two nephews: Walter Kalmus, Jr. and Sylvan Kalmus. 
Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 with his great nephew, Rev. Fr. Keith Koehl, officiating. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
