Fred W. Bowers

Fred W. Bowers, 74, of Ellinger died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. Fred was born in Woodworth, La. on June 6, 1939, the son of Frank W. Bowers and Maggie Mae (Brown) Bowers. He was employed as an engineer by Hughes Tool in Houston and retired with several years of service. He is survived by sister, Helen Stewart of El Paso; two brothers, Ben A. Bowers of Lake Charles, La and Frank A. Bowers of Austin; seven niece , Glennis Marie, Nelda Rose, Bennie Ann, Sabrina, Nayomi, Sharon, Silvia; and three nephews, Frank, Steve and Shain. He was preceded in death by parents; two sisters, Hazel A. Green and Bessie Mae Kotria. Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church in  La Grange at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.
