Katherine Gonzalez

Katherine Gonzalez, 64, of San Antonio died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. She was born Nov. 6, 1949 in La Grange to Ernest and Augusta (Collins) Dockery. She is survived by two daughters, Rachelyn Welch and La Shanna Welch, both of San Antonio; son, Brodrick T. Welch of New York, N.Y.; step son, Timothy Welch of San Antonio; three sisters, Earnestine Demerson and husband Ralph of Houston, Leola Dudley and husband

Lee Dudley of Houston, Gloria Wolford of Ruttersville; two brothers, Rev. Floyd Dockery and wife Gloria of Houston, Delvin Dockery and wife Dorothy of Bastrop; sisters-in-law, Harriet Dockery of La Grange and Martha Dockery of Houston; and four grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Abel Gonzalez,her parents, one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held at Second Baptist Church in La Grange at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Rev. P.A. Turner officiated. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery. Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of  arrangements.
