Judson “Jud” Landa Stahl, 45, of Bastrop, died Saturday, March 1, 2014. Jud was born in Houston on Jan. 23, 1969, the son of Dr. David M. Stahl and Lois “Bobbie” (Sabrsula) Stahl. He married Michele Gilmore on March 11, 1995 in Houston.
Jud was employed in IT Forensic Security at Agilent Technologies in Bastrop. Jud loved his family, spending time with them and supporting his boys in all of their various activities from cub scouts, soccer, baseball, school projects and even homework. Jud and Michele shared a love of travel. Jud made sure to pass this passion down to his children by taking them on many types of vacations. They went on cruises, snow skiing, adventures at the beach, following Man V. Food episodes and most recently spending every Thanksgiving and spring break conquering the NYC adventure together as a family. Jud could fix anything you put in front of him and tackled projects as a challenge! He never gave up and enjoyed  learning from every mistake. He loved to chat about politics and enjoyed a fun and sometimes heated Democrat vs. Republican debate for all those who could keep up with him! Jud recently discovered the joy of spending time at the family river in Plum, and spent much time renovating the place to pass it down for others to enjoy. He loved getting the chance to know his aunts, uncles and cousins better which made his life filled with people who loved him.He also truly loved the Christmas holidays and season. When “A Christmas Story” was on the television, he made sure it was playing on every TV in the house all day long and that the family sat down at least three times to watch. He also was a man who liked to show you that no matter how much, how spicy or how hot food was, he could eat it all, but you might just hear him complaining about it later. A handy man, a family man,a traveling man, what more could you want out of a man?Well he was also a comedian, a lover, and a true-honest down to Earth man who could spark up a conversation with just about anyone if he wanted to; heck he would probably have a few things to say to Obama himself! He is survived by his wife
