Paul Joseph Walla

 Paul Joseph Walla, Jr., 83, of Plum died Thursday, March 6, 2014. Paul was born in Plum on Sept. 5, 1930, the son of Paul J. Walla, Sr. and Agnes (Kubecka) Walla. Paul worked as a carpenter until his retirement. He is survived by his son, Gary Walla of La Grange; sister, Edith Muzny and husband, Gene, of Plum; brother, Ladd Walla and wife, Elsie, of Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, David Brian Walla. Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 12 to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services were held at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 126 Plum Church Rd., Plum, Texas 78952; Sacred Heart School, 545 E.
