Betty J. (Stamper) Myers

Betty J. (Stamper) Myers,  75, of Round Top, died on Friday, April 11, 2014 at her residence. Betty was born in Hamilton, Ohio on Feb. 2, 1939, the daughter of George and Betty (Duelman) Stamper. She married Walter Myers on Sept. 4, 1957 in Pasadena. Betty worked for Blinn College teaching students of nursing. She enjoyed crafting, painting, woodwork, embroidering, crocheting, cooking and cake decorating. She is survived by her husband, Walter; daughter, Joyce Taylor of Quincy, Fla.; son, David Myers and wife, Gracie of Round Top and son, Dennis Myers and wife, Connie of Greenbrier, 

Ark.; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Ellison and infant brother, Jerry. Visitation was held on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 2 to 7  p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral

Home in La Grange. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Round Top Church Christian Fellowship, located at 440 E. Mill St. in Round Top, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Burial will follow at

Florida Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 1048
