Human Traffickers a ‘Daily’ Problem For Local Law Enforcement
Border Patrol agents in South Texas are reporting a surge in illegal crossings of the Texas-Mexico border, reversing
a trend elsewhere toward fewer illegal entrants. The new migrant flow is largely from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. Fayette County law enforcement officials are encountering stolen vehicles crammed with the illegal migrants driven by human traffickers known as coyotes, “on a daily basis here lately,” according to Sheriff Keith Korenek
