Elenora A. Zapalac

Elenora A. Zapalac, 93, of Ellinger, died on April 11,  2014 in Columbus. She was born on Jan. 20, 1921 to Adolph and Antonia (Ressler) Minar in Crosby. On March 30, 1948, she married Rudolph Zapalac. Elenora was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Altar Society in Ellinger and a member of K.J.Z.T. Elenora is survived by her sons, Larry Zapalac and wife Susan of Richmond, and Jimmy Zapalac and wife Jo Ann of Ellinger; 8 grandchildren,  hristopher

Sutton, Michael Smith, Nicholaus Zapalac, Matthew Zapalac, Angela Loper, Jeremy  Zapalac, Erin Fritsch, and Chase Zapalac, 4 great-grandchildren, Ariel Smith, Katherine Smith, Patrick Smith and Rylee Fritsch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Zapalac; parents, Adolph and Antonia (Ressler) Minar; daughter, Jo Ann Sutton; sisters, Angeline Jurecka and Dorothy Minar; and brothers, Rudolph Minar, Arnold Minar, Linhard Minar and Raymond Minar.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Steve Sauser officiated

under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home. Burial followed in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Ellinger. Pallbearers were Christopher Sutton, Michael Smith, Nicholaus Zapalac, Matthew Zapalac, Jeremy Zapalac, and Chase Zapalac.
