Dorothy Bartels Lange

Dorothy Bartels Lange, 79, of Houston, died April 18, 2014. She was born on Aug. 3, 1934 to Gus and Norma (Seibert)

Bartels in Burton. On July 8, 1951, she married Kermit Rudolph Lange of Waldeck. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Houston. She worked as a teller at the Bank of the Southwest, later as a homemaker where she enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies, cakes, tending to her many flowers and spending time with her grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Sidney Lange and fiancé Tracye Slaten, Rodney Lange and wife Joan; grandchildren; Samantha and husband Andrew Gagyi, Casey Lange and wife Shelbi, Codie Lange and Bridget Lange; and great-granddaughter Presley Louise Lange. She was preceeded in death by her husband Kermit R. Lange; parents, Gus and Norma Bartels; sister, Margie Bartels Mueller; and brother, Gene Bartels. Visitation services were held on Wednesday, April 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home at 1200 West 34th Street in Houston. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, in Houston. A graveside service followed at 3 p.m. at Waldeck  Cemetery in Waldeck.
