The Weakness in the Argument

Fayette County Democratic  Party Chair David Deluca wrote here extensively on the switch of many Texas county officials to the Republican Party based on the “handwriting on the wall.” He labors long to make his point that our county reflects 

an “ethnic makeup” of 53% white and 38% Hispanic in the school systems who are future (Democratic, he hopes) voters.

Deluca predicts switching parties “may have short-term benefits, but it will not be a long-term winning move.”
