Floyd “Doc” Littleton Gunn
Floyd “Doc” Littleton Gunn, 94, died May 10 in College Station. Floyd was born in Gregory but spent most of his childhood
in Burnet County. He was the son of Frank and Cenie Gunn, of Marble Falls. Floyd graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1943. For over 20 years, he was in private practice in La Grange, where he was active in the community. In 1966, he joined the faculty of the TAMU Veterinary College, from which he retired in 1982. Floyd is survived by three children: Sue Ann Gunn of College Station, Larry Gunn of La Grange, and Travis Gunn of Buchanan Dam, as well as sisters Zola Knowles and Mary House and her husband Rev. Morris House, all of Bryan; seven grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. One son, Lonnie Gunn, preceded him in death. A service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at the First United Methodist Church on 28th street in Bryan. In lieu of other remembrances, memorial donations to honor Dr. Gunn may be made to Office of the Dean, College of Veterinary Medicine, TAMU MailStop 4461, College Station, Texas 77843 “for” Dr. Floyd Gunn Scholarship Fund
