Louise Rehak

Louise Rehak, 101, of Smithville died Friday, May 9, 2014. Louise was born on Aug. 4, 1912 the daughter of Rudolph and Filomena Muzny Rehak. She is survived by one nephew, David (Bud) and Judy Evanicky of Smithville and six nieces, Barbara (Cookie) Evanicky of Smithville, Katherine and Wayne Brown of Alvin, Margery Castellaw of Temple, Elizabeth and James Wilder of Austin, Lillian and Ricky Boehm of Dallas, and Aleene and Richard Howser of San Marcos. She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her father and mother, Rudolph and Filomena Muzny Rehak, her sisters Elizabeth Rehak and Olga Rehak Kaase, her step-mother Julia Korenek Rehak, her half-sister Ethlyn  Rehak Evanicky and her greatnephew Randy Brown. Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary was held at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Smithville. Father Pius of Smithville and Father Tom Chamberlain of Temple officiated. Interment followed at the Rehak family plot at Oak Hill Cemetery.
