Doris Johnson-Holmes

Doris Johnson-Holmes, 72, of La Grange died May 20, 2014 at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange.She was born  June 5, 1941 in  Fayetteville to Almond Johnson and Lillie V. (Steverson) Johnson. She was married to Kermit L. Holmes of Fayetteville. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Karen Homer and husband Jodie of La Grange; sisters, Lela Ann Johnson of Houston and Harriett Johnson- Dockery of La Grange; brother, Earnest Johnson and wife Doris of Dallas; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceeded in death by her parents and two brothers. Friends and family are invited to call Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange on Friday, May 30 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Second Baptist Church in La Grange at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 with the Rev. Nathaniel Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery. Tommy E. Taylor of La Grange was in charge of arrangements
