Ronnie Earl Stork
Ronnie Earl Stork, 65, of Ledbetter died peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his residence in Waldeck. Ronnie was born in La Grange on June 22, 1948, the son of Earl and Alice (Krause) Stork. He was baptized on Aug. 8, 1948 at Waldeck Lutheran Church by Pastor Leo H. Simon and confirmed on April 15, 1962 at Waldeck Lutheran Church by Pastor Marvin Koenig. Ronnie married Charlene Ann Trlicek on September 8, 1968 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange by Pastor A.E. Flathmann, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army in the Core of Engineers division. Ronnie worked for Texas Timbers and then worked for Fayette County Construction for more than twenty-five years. The other positions he held was Precinct Two Fayette County Commissioner for two terms, farm and ranch manager and worked part-time in maintenance for the Round Top-Carmine School District. His hobbies were working on and fixing anything from carpentry, welding, and farm and ranch work. He loved deer hunting and enjoyed celebrating Good Friday at the family lake. Ronnie was a member of the church council and an usher at his church. He was on the Swafford Lorean Doerr Swafford, 89, died June 17, 2014 at Tomball Regional Hospital Lorean was born near Round Top on Aug. 30, 1924. She moved to Hockley in 1972. She had a career as a florist. She was a member of the Sons Of Herman and S.P.J.S.T. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Lee; and sister-in-law, Violet Doerr of Waller; niece, Joann Lakadosch and husband Georg; niece, Michelle Woodring and husband Danny; niece, Priscilla Chandler and husband Ron; niece, Linda Ward and husband Cecil; nephew, James Wagner and wife Karen; nephew, Ross Wagner and wife Cassandra; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; step-son Randy Swafford and wife Stephanie and their children, Jason Swafford of New York and Jeannie Swafford of California; and a very special friend Paul Wilburn Jr. and wife Evonne who was like a son to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry (J.C.) Swafford, parents, David and Leona (Schroeder) Doerr and brother, Loyd Doerr and brother- in-law, Al Wagner. Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday June 21, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florida Chapel Cemetery near Round Top. In lieu of flowers- donations may be made to Silverado Hospice, 13810 Champion Forest suite 150, Houston, Texas 77069. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange is in charge of arrangements.
