A Humanitarian Crisis

There are not many things on which Governor Rick Perry and I agree. Imagine my surprise when I found myself nodding my head while listening to the Governor speak from a Texas Department of Public Safety facility near Weslaco. On his trip to the Rio Grande Valley, he visited a Border Patrol detention facility and described the scene there as an “untenable situation”. He went on to say that “this is an absolute humanitarian disaster waiting to happen.” My only quibble with him is “waiting to happen;” I think the crisis is already here
