Crisis of Deterioration at Winedale Overblown Says UT Director

Reacting to a front-page Houston Chronicle story Monday alleging a failure of stewardship of the historic Winedale properties by UT-Austin, Briscoe Center for American History director Don Carleton said in a phone interview that the Chronicle story “lacked balance.” The Briscoe Center is charged with administering and maintaining the complex of historic  homes, barns and conference facilities in northern Fayette County
