Kelsye M. Garces

Kelsye M. Garces, 96, died July 15, 2014, in San Antonio. She was born Nov. 29, 1917, in La Grange to George and Liane Weber. Kelsye graduated college from Our Lady of the Lake with a degree in education. She taught school in Fayetteville and later moved to Midland where she met John. They were married and he stayed in the military until retirement. She was an avid golfer even playing with the president of Panama while stationed there. After retirement she and John lived in Guadalajara, Mexico about 15 years. In the early 90’s they moved to San Antonio. After John’s death in 1995 she moved to the Army Residence Community. She was preceded in death by her husband John Raymond Garces, Jr.; her brother, Alan Weber; and her nephew, Paul Weber. She is survived by her brother, Floyd Weber and his wife Barbara along with their
