Walter E. Myers

Walter E. Myers, 78, of Round Top died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 in Greenbrier, Ark. Walter was born in Rison, Ark. on Dec. 1, 1935, the son of Gilbert and Nora (Ryals) Myers. He married Betty Stamper on Sept. 4, 1957 in Pasadena. Walter served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Central Supply and retired after 21 years of service. He is survived by daughter, Joyce Taylor of Quincy, Fla.; son, David Myers and wife, Gracie, of Round Top; and son, Dennis Myers and wife,

Connie, of Greenbrier, Ark.; brother, Richard Myers and wife, Ginnie; two sisters: Martha Jenkins and husband, Billy;

Linda Jenkins and husband, Bobby all of Arkansas; eight grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Myers; three brothers: Gilbert, Alvin and Larry Myers; and sister, Marie Stevens.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received

friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Round Top Church Christian Fellowship, 440 E. Mill St. in Round Top at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014.
