First Day of School

Things got a little trashy at Monday’s city council meeting in La Grange. The seven-year contract the city has with Allied Waste for residential and business trash pick-up expires this December. And even though it’s a dirty job, Allied has some competition. Representatives from Texas Disposal Systems addressed the council Monday urging them to go out for bids for trash pick-up rather than automatically renewing with Allied.
